Telescope Cafe

coffee and baguette

Good Coffee in Paris used to be a rare find, and in some ways it still is, but you just have to know where to look. Telescope Cafe is a tiny gem in the heart of Paris, and attracts an international crowd seeking good old fashioned coffee with perfectly foamed milk. Add a toasted baguette, salted butter, apricot jam and an impeccably friendly staff and you have my favorite cafe in Paris so far.

For all those in need of a caffeinated pick-me-up:

Breakfast at Claus

Claus is the tiniest breakfast place tucked away in a side street of Rue St Honoré, with a small shop on the ground level and a small restaurant on the first floor. It feels quintessentially French, but also serves all your British and American breakfast classics, and even some green juice, which is always difficult to find in Paris.

Sunday Afternoon in the Wachau

Mothers Day was very rainy and cold.

With all the posts in between this can be called our later-gram from Mothers Day.

The Broken Arm

The Broken Arm Cafe Paris

I had heard about a new wave of coffee shops taking over Paris and giving Paris a bit of the coolness of the New York coffee scene, and I couldn't have been happier to have a slice of cheesecake and a proper iced latte at The Broken Arm with Bea. The Broken Arm is half concept store, half coffee shop and has the most relaxed atmosphere for an afternoon hangout and capuccino in the Marais.

Cherche Midi

On one of my first nights in Paris my friend Helena (who knows the ways of the town because she grew up here) took Aya and me to one of the tiniest Italian places in the 6th. Tucked away in a side street near the Bon Marche is Cherche Midi, aptly named after the street it's located on.

Dipping in Ice cream – Dripping Ice Cream

This is summer, this brings memories from childhood, when you couldn't eat the ice-cream faster than the sun ...

Now hurry up Sophie!

We had so much fun, and laughed real hard, … and she didn't get any on her skirt! Bravo!

What is your favorite taste? In Vienna everyone has their favorite ice parlor and would never be unfaithful and buy ice-cream anywhere else.
We are obsessed with Mozart and Strawberry-Yoghurt at Hoher Markt.
Christian would only buy Grapefruit and my mom loves Schwedenplatz.

What is your favorite taste?
