Mothers Day was very rainy and cold.
With all the posts in between this can be called our later-gram from Mothers Day.
The Wachau was inscribed as a Cultural Landscape in the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites. We come at the least once a year, because it's only an hour drive away from home and walk along the Danube, through the vineyards and of course eat in one of the many fine restaurants here. Hard decision I tell you! This year we came to celebrate with longterm friends and their two teenage sons and Julian to The Landhaus Bacher.
You can see two young men collapsing in their chairs after 3 hours of eating .... It was so funny to watch them.
I cannot recall any of the dishes but click on the images I always choose the lightbox version to see a full blown size of the food!
Thomas Dorfer is a genius and everything is not only beautifully presented but delicious !
They also have a beautiful garden with huge old boxwood and pebbles and I love the sound when one walks over it. Although this year we only saw it from the inside!
