Before the start of the school year I went on a two week trip to Asia, traveling through Japan (which I'm sure you know if you follow me on instagram), but first I flew into Singapore. My brother joined me there for some awesome adventures with our friend Mitch from New York. If you ever need a tour guide for Singapore, be sure to reach out. Singapore really impressed me, after visiting so many Asian cities, it felt like the cleaner, more European version of Asia with an incredible food scene and amazing rooftop bars. Not to mention the incredible Cloud Forrest and Marina Bay area, which felt like real life Jurassic Park.
We stayed at the Marina Bay Sands for one night, because it's the only way to experience the infinity pool, but to be honest, the hotel was not very impressive and the pool was insanely full, as you can tell in these photos. I'd recommend just visiting the rooftop bar instead and having a more peaceful hotel experience. In terms of food, be sure to pay one of the PS Cafe locations a visit, and don't miss out on the epic Hawker Food centers. My favorite restaurant was definitely Burnt Ends, with a wonderfully creative grill based menu. The National Gallery features beautiful Asian art, with a gorgeous rooftop (pictured below) to boot. My favorite bar was definitely Bar Stories near Arab Street. They ask you your alcohol and flavor preferences and then create an amazing hand curated cocktail. Mine was served in a book!
