After half a day in San Francisco, we hopped in a car and drove down Highway 1 through Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur. It felt so surreal to finally be able to drive down this famous highway and see the beautiful coastline.

San Francisco has been at the top of my list ever since I moved to New York 2 and a half years ago. I always pictured it as this far away fairytale destination with its pretty Victorian houses and stunning bridges on the opposite end of the country.
