Last Friday we left for London and it was snowing while 15cm of fresh snow bend every tree and stressed us completely. I just had my tires changed!!! But miraculously we made it on time for our flight to visit with friends, a church and point blank, a school for music production. All very exciting and we had the best London weather, we even saw the sun ..! Yes!
London is amazing in the spring!
Surprisingly enough we had very little traffic due to the bank holiday on Monday, everyone seemed to have left the city and so we were reconciled with London traffic, kind of healed from our last nightmare experience when traffic collapsed and there was literally no getting on at all. This time London seemed in fact shrunken. Everything was within a reach of 10 - 15 minutes versus to 1 and 1/2 hours. At the Rosewood Hotel where we met a friend for breakfast they served a divine acai bowl I got addicted to and in a very craving way inspired I made this one. Recipes can be found online to the masses as it is quite popular and nothing I invented for sure. But none had such nice food photography so I had to give it a blurry shot.
After my workout I craved something healthy and so I popped all the ingredients into my blender and thought that it turned out well. I loved it and I hope you do too.
Recipe
You Need
1 ripe banana
1 cup frozen berries, raspberries, blackberries
1 tbsp. acai powder
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 tbps. hempseeds, optional
almond milk, unsweetened
Fresh fruit for decoration
I used a frozen banana, I keep buying too many, and because I hate throwing away food, I freeze them and nothing can get between me and my breakfast smoothie or bowl ever. A great way to stock.
Put all of the ingredients into a blender and add as much almond milk as you need to get the consistency you prefere up to a fine smoothie you can drink with a straw. then of course you would omit the fresh fruit for decoration and the hempseed. If you desire a sweeter taste add a spoonful at a time of maple sirup. Scoop the icecreem like texture into a bowl and sprinkle, decorate and enhance as you like. More fruit won't harm.
