While we were in Queenstown I wanted to go on some little adventures around the area and explore as far as we could in the short time we had there. There are so many lakes and fun hikes to do it was incredibly difficult to narrow it down to just a few highlights. One of my favorite things was Arrowtown, an old American Western style village left behind from New Zealands gold rush many moons ago. It was surreal walking through what felt like a film set only 20 minutes from Queenstown. We also explored Lake Hayes, Lake Wanaka and Shotover River the same day and couldn't get enough of the landscapes.
