If you ask my Italian friend Carolyn what her ultimate soul food in New York City is, her answer will always be Serafina. Even though it was still slightly chilly outside, we decided to brave the cold, because who knows whether spring is here to stay in NYC… Serafina has several locations throughout the city, but their Meatpacking one in a quiet side street is definitely my favorite.
We started off with Crostini Sofia: prosciutto and melted mozarella crostini, and Bresaola with parmesan, mushrooms and rucola.
Carolyn went for the Branzino with potatoes and vegetables.
I on the other hand can never stop myself from ordering the exact same thing: Vodka Penne, my absolute favorite. Here's a pre-parmesan view:
And also a post-parmesan one because it's just so delicious I had to include two pictures! So get yourselves over to Serafina and order everything they have! You can't go wrong!
