Navy was one of the top choices on my list of restaurants to try when I got back to NYC in August. I finally managed to try it just about two weeks ago, and now of course I'm regretting not having tried it earlier. The restaurant is located on a narrow street in Soho and has a familiar and cozy feel to it. I love food with great attention to detail and presentation that is simple and yet interesting and that's exactly what Navy was. We had the yoghurt with shaved apples, honey and pumpkin seeds and the egg bowl complete with a poached egg, grains and carrots. My personal favorite was the avocado toast on brioche and topped off with mustard seeds, cilantro and radishes. They're on open table so it's pretty easy to make a reservation.
