"If you take your glasses off, you could almost believe you're in Paris" - I overheard one of the other customers at Cafe Cluny say. Now, I don't know about you, but I have 20/20 vision and while the chairs in this cafe make me reminiscent of cafes in St Germain, this quaint little restaurant is quintessentially West Village to me. It's in tiny restaurants like these, complete with a cozy atmosphere, great brunch food and views of West Village brownstones that make me feel most at home in New York City.
On a random Friday my friend Helena and I decided to finally try out Cafe Cluny and the omelette and the breakfast club sandwich (including my favorite combination of bacon, avocado and egg) and a fresh ginger apple juice, all of which we would happily have every day.
